A LAND PURCHASE CASE.

PATMERSTON N., Sept. 3— After a hearing extending over three days the case of- Thomson v. Mason was concluded to-day. Plaintiff claimed for rccision of a contract to purchase three hundred and sixty five "acres at iVlamaku on the grounds that the boundaries had been wrongly indicated, avrl that there was much more bush and swamp land in the block than he vas led to expect; or, alternately, for £1200 pound damages. A special jury after a retirement of an hour, returned a verdict for plaintiff with costs on the highest scale. Leave to apply fur a new trial was granted.
