TO OUR FARMING AND GRAZING FRIENDS.
HPHE Soundness, Purity, and Vitality of all kinds of Farm and Garden Seeds is a very important matter. Bad Seed not only means the loss of the first cost of the seed, but what is very much more serious, the loss of the crop and consequent loss of preparing the soil- Where farmers have to depend largely on their seed merchants for the quality of their seed, they should place their reliance on reputable and honest seedsmen. The policy we have followed in having nothing but the very best money can buy accounts for the very satisfactory position we hold in the estimato of Westland Farmers to-day. We have landed our New Season's Seeds, which are equal to our usual high standard of excellence. ' We will be pleased to post samples and quotations on application. FERTILISERS! Book Gift Tea. AN APPEAL.
Mr Justice Chapman, on appeal quashed the conviction against Mr Brady, the Gisborne agent, for selling "Book Gift" Tea with a coupon attached. His Honour ruled that the system adopted by the proprietors of "Book I Gift" Tea of giving coupons as a moans of exchange for tho books was perfectly legal and did not come witliii the meaning of the Act. This decision had the full concurrence of the other judges. It will he good news to the many traders who have experienced the demand for "Book Gift" Tea to know that they will not lose the opportunity of acquiring a collection of wellbound standard books without cost. The Proprietors of "Book Gift" Tea maintain that it costs no more for the books than it docs for estonsive advertising, or the giving of cash prizes which only benefit a few. EVERY PDRCtJASER OF "BOOK GIFT" TEA PARTICIPATES in the DISTRIt.TION of BKOOKS. iV knows that for every 61b of Tea ho buys he can select a book from a list of over 100 standard volumes. He knows from experience also that he is getting a Tea that compares more Jian favourably with any tea he can buy at the same, or ever a higher jjrice.
