ST. PETERSBURG, Sept. 2.— An>e at Kriverim in Cherson district, Russia, destroyed 450 buildings, aud caused a 'damage of a million roubles and made 5000 persons homeless and Woodless.

LONDON, Sept. 2.— Renter states - that China has declined the suggestion of M. Jordan, British Minister, to investigate the circumstances in connection with the death of Hazrah, a native Indian surveyor, attached to Lieut. Clark's meteorological expedition, who was killed by Chinese near Lanchan, Manchuria.
