DUNEDIN, Sept. 2.— Scott Hros., of Christchurch, contractors for the dock, are claiming form the Otago Dock Trust £36,000 on account of the construction. The Trust forwardad a cheque for £3351 to the contractors in full settlement of the conbr:jict account, the sum_ mentioned being tbe balance due after deducting a very considerable amount for penalties for non-completion of the dock on the contract date. The cheque has not been lifted by the contractors.
