DUNEDIN, June 3 The Jockey Club's meeting opened to-day in fine weather. The attendance was large and the sum put through the tote was £7682 10s as against £7855 last year. WELLINGTON, June 3.— The Otaki Maori Racing Club's winter meeting opened in dull weather, although the attendance was good. Fifteen bookmakers were licensed and the sum of £9874 passed through the tote against £10,086 for the corresponding day last year.
