A murder bas taken place ac Quiriudi, George Tofft, while under the influence of liquor, Tinted tbe borne of bis sweetheart, a girl named Fletcher. They quarrelled, and tben TofEt induced the girl to accompany him to tbe rear of the House, where he fbob her twice, and, in. addition, battered in ber head.
On meeting au acquaintance subsequently, Toffc said be had done for Miss Fletcher. He added that be wanted tokill her father, tben have a feed, anl do* for himself. TofEt is missing.
