Amendments were also being prepared io connection with the Indu"trial Conciliation and Arbitration ,Act with a view to rendering more definite the machinery for arriving at awarda, a>d making the operations of that machinery more expeditious. A Bill penalising tbe giving or taking of secret commission* would be introduced during the coming sossion. DrFiudhy repeated what the Hon Mr MoNab I ad stated regarding the proposed land legislation. Speaking in oonnetf'on with hia own Department J>r Findlay eaid:- <: I hope to be able to subpiU for tbe approvrl of my colleagues a Bill dealing with our judicial system which may involve the abolition of Dh~ triot Coarts and mako provision for a .more continuous Court of Appea'. Thin jsobeme, however, has not yet had tho approval of Minister?, but will be raady for their consideration in the early pnrt of the session.
