Melbourne, Jan 5
Tbeie was wreched weather and showers all night aud morning until noon, so soddened the wicket that it was a quagmire. A considerable quantity of sawdust was provided for the bowlers and batsmen. Tbe altendauoe numbered clo«e on ten thousand during the afternoon.
Trnmble bowling with tbe wind took Knight with the second bal 1 , le? before.
After Tylesdely failed to score off Howell, Trumble stuck up Lilley who was stumped by Kelly.
