FOOTBALL.

HAWKES BAY V. OTAGO.

Dunedin Aug 29. The football match Hawke's Bay y Otago was won by Hawkes Bay by five points to three. The game was the moat interesting of the series here from tho spectators point of view being fast and open from start to finish.

There waa not much science in some of the play which was a scramble, but the bold tactics of the visitors whacked the leather hard and often regardless of consequences they were rewarded. Strive as the Otago players would they could not cross the lines of tne visitors the second time.
