N.Z. UNIVERSITY SENATE.

The recess committee of the University Senate meet at Duuedin on Thursday for the compilation oi! the matriculation and junior scholarship results which will probably be announced on the following Monday or Tuesday. The delay of a few days has been caused by a re-arrange-ment of the French examination consequent on the death of Professor Clarke. Sir James Hector, Chaucellor of the Uuiversity, left for Duaedin to-night.
