MORE MEN. (Received Jan 21, at 9 a.m) Lontjox, Jan 20 The troopship Canada has sailed for the Cape with 1300 regulars arid 520 recruits for Powell's Police. Wellington, Jan 21. It is ascertained there are 193 vacancies in the present contingents in South Africa, divided as follows :— Second. 80 : third, 65 : fourth, 31 : and fifth, 26. The men now in camp arc being given the option of joining any ci the three contingents, if they desire. During the day £110 was collected in the city towards the funds for giving the Sixth Contingent a farewell.
