THE MYERS CASE

[Pres3 Association] Wellington, MaT 10. Joseph Myers was this morning further committed for trial on charges of alleged forgery of the name of N. Fernandos. Bail was allowed. After the Myers case was finished, J. F. Mills, whose name has been constantly mentioned in the evidence and who was alleged by accused to have procured i cheque supposed to be signed by Skerrett, was allowed to give evidence. He said he had transactions with Myers but none since May 25th, 1897. he had never been asked by Myers te get Skerrett to obl'ge them with his name and has never* got any secur'ty or endorsement from him that had anything to do with Myers.
