Krantz was chosen Minister for War because he co-operated with Freyoinet in the plans for the mobilisation of the army. (Received,- May 10, at 1 a.m) In the Chamber of Deputies Dupuy stated Freycinet's decision to resign was solely due to the attitude of the Chamber. Joseph Lasies, Nationalist member for Gers, alleged that Freycinet and Delcasse were at variance over the testimony of Paleologue, an official of the Foreign Office, before the Court of Cassation. Dupuy denied this. A vote of confidence in the Government was carried by a large majority.
