POSTAL NOTICES.
MAILS CLOSE Mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Rio de Janeiro and Plymouth, (to connect with s.s. Tokomaru, leaving Lyttelton on the 27th inst) close on Tuesday 25th at 7 a.m. Parcels are forwarded by direct steamers only ; correspondence (except parcels) must be speciallly addressed per 'Tokomaru' The above mail is due in London on the 11th August. Frf>r Greymouth and north — Mondays and Thursdays, 7.15 a.m. , and 3.15 pm. ; Tuesdays and Fridays, at 7 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. ; Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.15 a.m., and 5 p.m. For Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, and north, and Australian colonies, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m.
MAILS ARRIVE.
From Greymouth on Mondays and Thursdays at 12.45 and 7.10 p.at ; Tuesdays and Fridays at 11.15 a..m. and 5.40 p.m ; Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11.15 a.m. and 5.10 p.m. From Christchurch, Dunedin, &c\, on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5.10 p.m.
Telephone offices are now open at " Waitaha Ferry, " " Hende's Ferry, " "Ferguson's," and "Mikonui," SoUth Westlahd ; hours of attendance 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., week days only.
Note — From the Ist January 1895 the postage oh Newspapers for the United Kingdom and Foreign countries -will be for the first Four ounces in weight id, for each additional two ounces ; the postage on Newspapers for the Australian colonies and South Sea Islands remaihs as at present, viz., Id for each paper, irrespective of weight.
