The cricket match New South Wales v. Hawke's Bay was continued in Farn- , don Park to-day, the Recreation ground being required for the Caledonian sports. Oowley and Moore, the not-outs on the first day, continued and put together 48
and 31 respectively. Gould made 13
Austin, 22 ; Noble, 20 ; Davis, 18. The innings closed for 176. Hawke's Ba> second innings commenced well Marshall and Lusk scoring 17 and 23, ""but af ter they left the wickets there was a complete collapse and the total score was only 51. The visitors thus won by an innings and 13 runs.
