AUCKLAND EACBS. Auckland, Jan. 2. The Auckland Eacing Club concluded its summer meeting to-day, when about 4000 were present including the Governor. The following are the results : — Grand Stand Hand cap — Hilda, 1 ; Tartar, 2 ; British Lion, 3. Nursery Handicap— Quilt (late Rem<* nant), 1 ; Loehness, 2 ; The Baron, 3. Auckland Plate — Lochiel, 1 ; Manton, 2 ; Nelson, 3. •;;— Auckland Steeplechase — Recruit, 1 ; Feter Osbeck, 2 ; Orangeman, 3. Victoria Handicap— Balista, 1 ; Tartar, 2 ; Pretender, 3. ATHLETIC. Dunedin, Jon. 2. At the Caledonian sports to-daVj. tbe collar and elbow wrestling was won by H. Dunn, C, Sonntag taking second prize.
