Napieb, Sept. 15. The English - Hawke's Bay football match was played in the presence of several thousand ; the weather and ground were excellent; Hawke's Bay had the best of the first spell, but Nolan intercepted bis opponents' pass and scored. In the ■second spell the play was very fast,
Trotter and Swan scored a try each, for Hawke's'Bay from forward rush'ek. The English tried bard to score; and tHd Napier full-back, kickitig bacl#, twice N^aH/got tvto indtd tries*. England won ily tHree points to two.
