The Waipara is due from Westport to-day and is announced to sail south on this evening's tide, weather permitting. The Murray is due from northern ports today. The Shag was expected last night from Weatporfc, but did not put in an appearance owing, probably, fo the bad weather prevailing. The Isabella Anderson was in the roadstead yesterday and will probably be towed in today. The Gerda is to sail from Greymouth for Wellington at 7 o'clock to-night. The Umbria, wires a New York correspondent, beat the record in her last passage from Queemtown, reaching there on Saturday in 6 days 4 hours 12 minutes, or one hour less than the Efcruria's best time. The runs each day were = —Monday, 453 miles ; Tuesday, 470; Wednesday, 478; Thursday, 478; Friday, 474; Saturday, 481. The average speed was nearly 19 miles an hour. The weather was favorable.
