NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the Borough of Hokitika on FRIDAY, the sth day of AUGUST next, to make and LEVY a GENERAL RATE of ONE SHILLING ia the £ on the Rateable Value of Property on the Rate Roll of the Borough of Hokitika. The period for which such Rate is made is for the year ending 31st March, 1888, thesaidrateto be payable ia one sum on the 15th day of AUGUST, 1887 ; and notice is further given that an estimate of the proposed expenditure, &c. during the above named period has been proposed aud approved of by the Borough Council, and is now open fir inspection, together with the Rate Book, at the Offices of the Corporation.
