Tbe directors of the No. 2 South Keep-it-Dark have a few hands employed prospecting, but nothing has yet been found except some very fair surface stone. Tbe ground is situated in a good locality, and it ia intended to give it a fair trial. The Bannockburn people are also talking about prospecting their ground. A trial was made of some of the new clips for the Globe tramway, but it will jet take a few days before the crushing can be expected to be resumed. Owing to the Welcome stone towards the north in the No. 7 level increasing in size and improving in quality, some inquiry has been made for Homeward Bound stock, bufc no fluctuation has taken place in prices A sale of forfeited share 3 in the South Hopeful, Balaclava, and the Inangahua Low Level Tunnel will take place to-morrow According to the new Mining Companies Act, shareholders are liable for any defici' after the sale.
