A FANCY DRESS BALL Will BE HELD ON THURSDAY, 24th MAY, 1883 IN THE VOLUNTEER DRILL HALL, Camp Street, In aid of a fund to be raised for the purpose of purchasing new uniforms for tbe Hokitika Volunteer Fire Brigade. Ticket to admit Lady and Gentleman 7s 6d each. Single Ticket 59 do Extra tickets to admit Ladies, 2s 6d each. Members of Committee :— Captain H. L. Michel, Lieut. Andrewes, Messrs Wallace, Peake, Holmes, Levy, Hudson, King, and Fitz9immona (members of Brigade) ; and the Hon. J. A. Bonar, His Worship the Mayor, The County Chairman, Messrs E. F. Rich, W. A. Spence, and R. C Reid. The Committee request all those who purchase tickets to fill in the particular character they intend to represent, before presenting the same at the door. Members of the Brigade and Volunteer Rifles admitted in uniform. Admisson only by ticket, and ticket not transferable. MARGABET HINE, of Hokitika, widow devisee under the Will of Francis Wak^field Hine, late of Hokitika, Hotelproprietor, has applied to be registered Proprietor of Sections H2l, 3323, 3303, 3302, 369, 3311, 3576, 3579, 367, 914,915, 916, 917, 902, 1122, 1413, 1414, 1415, 3217, 1105, and 3357 all in the town of Hokitika.
