[j\T. Z. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] RAILWAY CHARGES. Chbistchttkch, June 20. The Co-operative Association has drawn up a circular which will be sent to the Canterbury M.H.R's, Farmers Clubs and others likely to take interest in the matter on the subject of railway rule. Amongst other things the circular states it is notorious that carriers are successfully competing with railways within 20 miles of Christchurch. A new scale is proposed tinder which the charge for produce for 102 miles would be 10s Gd against 13s 8d as now. Some complaints are also made about the system of working trucks and several cases were pointed out which show that abuses have crept in.
