Wellington, August 2.
The following telegram from the Secretary of the International Commission, Sydney, has been received by Dr Hector : — " Entries for the sheep show must be in the hands of the Secretary by August 30, as the opening of the sheep show is fixed for Tuesday September 30, Sheep coming from other colonies, must be in Sydney 21 clays before opening- so as to be under the supervision of the Chief Inspector of Stock, but in charge of own attendants.
Dominico Bartollimeotti; one of the late English Opera Company, was summoned at the R.M., Court charged with stealing a quantity of theatrical property belonging to the management. The R. M., considered the case one of pure impudence .on the part of the defendant and dismissed it, but ordered that the property should be given up.
