I HEREBY convene a PUBLIC MEETING on MONDAY EVENING, 7th inst., at 8 p.m., to take into consideration the letter from the Mayor of Christchurch, asking the co-operation of the Borough in requesting the Government to hold the next meeting of Parliament in Christchurch, in accordance with a resolution passed last session, also to urge upon the Government the desirability ot immediately commencing the construe* tion of the Hokitika and Greymouth Railway at the Hokitika end, ML.
