The Waipara sailed on Saturday last for Qkaritp with a full cargo. ' The schooner Tauranga left Oauiaru on Saturday last for Hekitika.

The following is the lateßt weather telegram:—" Bad weather approaching between north east and north and west; the glass will fall further; expect a heavy sea from the north or west." ,

The brigantine Sea Bird arrived at Lyttelton on the Ist instant from Batavia, via Dunedin, with a cargo of sugar, ooffee, and spices. She left Batavja on February 6th, Bighted Otago Heads on 16th April, and entered in thereon the 20th, after a lengthened passage of 73 days through adverse weather. Messrs Turnbull and Co.'s barquentine May rea.ch.ed Wellington on the 2nd instant, from Hong Kong and Singapore, freighted with 450 tons sago, tapioca, rice, and spices. The Afswa.t' 1 left Lytteltoo for Melbourne, via Dunedin, yesterday, carrying the Suez mails; to be followed by the Ringarooma, by the same route, on or about the 13th inst. The Maori leaves Dunedin on hsr usual monthly trip, via the Bluff, Lyttelton, Nelson, and Westport, for Hokitika, on the 9th mat. Any merchandise required from any of the above ports can be shipped in ample time by sending telegraphic orders. The Luna arrived at Greymouth on Friday last from Westport, where she was detained through stress of weather. She was to leave the above port on Saturday with a load of coal.

The Wallabi, freighted with live stock, was expected at Greymouth yesterday. The N.Z.S.Co.'s fine vessel Pleiades, 1100 tons, is advertised to leave Lyttelton for London on 11th inst., and as the bulk of her cargo is engaged, she will sail as above. The attention of intending passengers is directed to the splendid accommodation afforded to all classes. Particulars obtainable from the agent, Mr Bpnar, Wharf-street. Grajn freight from Lyttelton to London, per sailing vessels, is quoted from 35s to 40s per ton, ; wool, undamped, greasy, |d per lb; washed, £d per Ib.
