Riverton, May 3. Professor Ulrich and Mr Pearson, Chief Commissioner of Waste Lands, left for Long wood to-day.

Mr Warden Wood, who arrived to-day, is busy signing leases and granting various rights, but it will be some time before anything definite. will be known, as the reef runs through dense bush. It will take capital and time to dovelope. The ground is being pegged off for miles in every direction. Stores, shanties, &c, are being erected. It is generally believed the ground is limited, ac d men should be cautious not to come here without capital.
