Wellington, March 6.
It was arranged that Mr Lurnach would resign his portfolio and scat before kaviug Auckland by the mail steamer. It is assumed that his resignation of his portfolio has been posted. His resignation of in's teat iv the House he placed in the hauds of a friend who will exercise h's discretion as to when it shall be sent to the Sneaker. It is understood that Mr C. S. Reeves, late Mayor of Dunedin, will contest Mr Larnach's scat, in the Ministerial interest.
