Lord Derby had an interview with SchouvalofT, and expressed a hope tbat no Russian troops were moving- towards Gallipoli whereby communication with the British fleet and Constantinople might be threatened. Lord Derby said tho consequences of such a rnoveuieut would be most serious, and he must decline all responsibility for such consequences.
