EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF WESTLAND, IT is hereby notified that, in accordance with clause 63 of the "Education Act, 1877," the Board has appointed MONDAY, the 28th day of January, to be the day upon which the meetings shall be held for the ELECTION of SEVEN Persons to be Members of the Local School Committee for each of the underraenmentioned School Districts : — The meeting will be held at the place and time set opposite each School District, as under :— Hokitika School-house, Hokitika, 7.30 pm. The Council ot the Borough of Hokitika, in pursuance of Section 323 of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," ordain as follows : — 1. That the sum of £5 5s shall be paid into the hands of the Town Clerk as the fee for all Licenses, whiGh may be issued to the owner or occupier of any public building or enclosure within the Borough, used for Public Meetings, Assembly Rooms, Theatre, Music or Dancing Hall, or any public performance or amusement whatever ; such License to expire on the 31st December in each year.
