THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11.

1. Mr Dungan to move—" That the survey ar d construction of a pack track from Maori Gully, to connect the Arnold River diggings with Lake Brunner, be referred to the Public Works Committee." 2. Provincial Secretary to move — " That a Committee be appointed to consider the claims of the tramway companies, to consist of Mr Speaker, Messrs White, Seddon, Curning, Wicks, Gninness, and the mover, and to report on the game within a week." FRIDAY, TEBEUARY 12. 1. Mr M'Gaffin to ask the Government — " Why the three hundred pounds voted by this Council as a refund to the business license holders of Ross has not been paid." 2. Mr M'Gaffin to ask the Provincial Secretary — " When does he purpose commencing the dray road between Lake Mahinapna and Mr M'lntosh's store, as agreed upon by this Couucil during last session." 3. Mr Houlahan to move — " That the Government be requested to furnish to this Council a return of all licenses, wholesale and retail, taken ont in the Province since January Ist, 1874, to January Ist, 1875." 4. The Provincial Secretary to move — *' That in the opinion of this Council it is advisable that clause 78 of the Westland Watte Lands Act, 1870, should be amended bo as to allow special settlements to be established in such parts of the Province ot Westland as may be deemed desirable, other than south of the Mikonui river, and contingent on the above being carried, that a copy of the resolution be forwarded t;o the Hon. the Colonial Secretary, and to the members for the district in the General Assembly." 5. Mr Seddon to move— "That the Government be requested to place on the Estimates the sum of £200 to defray the cost of erecting and furnishing a hospital in the Waimea district." 6. The Provincial Treasurer to move — " '1 hat a respectful addres-s be presented to His Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to send do-vn to this Council a recommendation to grant twelve hundred and eighty- eight pounds ei^ht shillings and eleven pence (£I2BB 3s lid), being the amount of unauthorised expenditure incurred under the special orders, directed by His Honor to the Provincial Auditor, ' since the last session of the Council." 7. Mr Dungan to move—" That His , Honor the Superintendent ue requested j to communicate with the General Government as to the necessity of appointing a registrar of births, deaths, and marriages at Maori Gully, Arnold district. " MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15. 1. Mr M'Gaffin to move— "That in the opinion of this Couucil it is desirable that the telegraph office at Ross should be opened from half- past seven to eight o' cluck p.m." TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16.

1. Mr Seddon to move-— " That the Government be requested to place on the estimates the sum of £500 as a subsidy to the various schools in Westland from September, 1874 until April 1875." 2. Mr Seddon to move—-" That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of Messrs Dungan, Cuming, O'Donovan, Guinness, White, and the mover, to meet during the recess, and consider what amendments arc required in the Goldfields Rules and Regulations; same Committee to have power to call for persons to give evidence."
