[ rpHE COMMITTEE for the Hokitika Exhibition, 1872, announce that an Exhibition of Mineral, Industrial, and other Products of the West Coast, together with specimens of Art, will beheld in the Town Hall, Hokitika, during the Christmas Holidays The Committee invite for the purpose of Exhibition, the loan of objects, in the following classes. 1. Minerals, fossils, and other Geological specimens. 2. Paintings in oil, water colors, copies of ancient pictures, engravings, plates, and Photography, and other Works of Art. 3. Flowers and Fruit, &c, Botanical specimens (prizes to be given). 4. Jewellery, Plate, and Coins. 5. Machinery, and models of Machinery. 6. Articles of Local Manufacture. 7. Natural History. 8. Curiosities. . 9. Articles of Native Manufacture. Prices of any objects for sale may be communicated to the Secretary, and the same will be allowed to be sold under regulations to be made by the Committee The Committee will take the greatest care of all objects, but will not hold themselves responsible for loss or damage by fire or in transit' The surplus to be devoted to enlarge the Mineral and Geological collection in Hokitika.
