NOTICES OF MOTION.

Monday, January 30.

1. Mr Reid to ask — "Whether any portion of the land on which the Coal field referred to in the report of Dr. Hector, lately laid on the table, has been alienated or disposed of— except for gold mining purposes ? 2. Mr Robinson to move — "That a return be laid upon the table of all moneys paid _ during the past tAvo years for the purpose of education, inclusive of moneys paid for inspectors' salary." 3. Mr Robinson to move—" That a return be laid upon the table of all moneys expended during the last tAvo years upon Government House and grounds, including all it< ms of expenditure connected therewith." 4. Mr Robinson to move — "That the report of the Kanieri Road Committee be adopted." 5. Mr Guinness to move — "That a committee, consisting of the Chairman, Messrs Button. O'Connor, and the mover, he appointed to enquire into petition of William Williams and Samuel Williams, ol'Greymouth."
