Bluff, January 10. The Claud H amilton, Captain Underwood, left Hobson's Bay at 7 p.m., on the 4th inst. Passed through Port Phillip Heads at 10 p.m., and Cape Schank at 11.30 p.m., the same day, and passed the Solanders at 8 p.m., on the 9th. She experienced easterly winds during the passage across, until making the land, when a heavy N. W. gale was met with, causing the engines to be slowed, in consequence of which the vessel did not enter Bluff Harbor until daylight of the 10th. Passengers for Otago — Mr Walsh, Col. Thomson, Messrs. Aitkin, C. F. Black, l-I artrick, Misses Cairns, Marshall, Thoneman, and seventeen steerage. For Wellington — Messrs J. Taylor and Thomas, Guir, Mr and Mrs Hay, Mr Wardill, Miss Stewart, Mr Douglass, Mr and Mrs Palmer and family (two servants), Mrs White. For Nelson — MrDuigan.
