The Westland Jockey Club Racing Rules, as recently passed by the Clu*), will be strictly adhered to. Any Jockey not riding in colors declared on night of general entiy, will be fined £1 Is. Anyone making an objection or protest, will be required to deposit £2 with one of the stewards or secretary, before the ob ection will be entertained; and if the stewards declare such objection or protest to be frivolous or vexatious, the £2 will be forfeited. No entries will be received except upon the following conditions, viz. : — The decision of the stewards or whom they may appoint, shall in all cases be conclusive and binding in matters connected with the races, and law proceedings barred. Entries and nominations must be made in writing, under cover, addressed to the Secretary, and must contain subscription and entrance money, together with the name of the owner, age, and pedigree of horse, and color of rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 28th December, 1869, at the British Empire Hotel. Letters bearing postmark of that date will be received. The qualification fee must be paid by each owner of horse or horses on the following scale, viz. — For one or more events, under £50, £2 ; for £50, and under £100, £3 ; for £100 and over, £4 : but said fees not be accumulative.
