Tenderers will be required to enclose in their tender a deposit of 10 per cent, on the total amount of their tender ; and in the event of the tender being accepted, such deposit shall remain, in the hands of the County Chairman as security for the due fulfilment of the work. BARBOR ) Land Office, Hokitika, 14th Dec, 1869. 1608 STEAM SERVICE TO TIIE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF WESTLAND. mENDERS will be received at the Office of the Chairman of the County Council, until noon on Thursday, the 23rd instant, for the performance, for the six months ending 30th June, 1870, of a periodical steam service fro:u Hokitika southwards, to call in at any navigable river, or any landing place in the County ■ that may be advisable by the County Council. Tenderers are requested to state in their tenders the amount of subsidy required — (1) for a monthly, and (2) for a bi-monthy service; also, the amount of rates proposed to be charged for passengers and goods traffic.
