Bismarck to the Prussian ambassador in Paris, regarding the French proposal for the extension of territory towards Belgium. M. Bismarck disclaims the rc-ponsibility of the publication, which is assigned to a person of the highest rank. The volume altogether tends to alienate the southern states from Prussia.
The incorporation of Lauenberg will shortly take place. The ex-K ; ng of Hanover has issued another protest against the sequestration of the Crown property.
AUSTRIA. The Reichsrath closed on the 14th of May with a hopeful speech from the Emperor. He said the result of two years' session had been improved military organisation and the strengthening of the finances, a reform of the criminal law, railway bills, and several Commercial conventions.
