West Coast Times and Oi*sebvi'.b Op'iCE. Saturday Evening. The Duties collected at the Customs today amounted to £409 18?. Bd.
The import market during the week has been extremely dull, aud prices, in the majority of articles, have not altered. In sugars and candles, however, there has been a little activity, and both are held for a higher figure than that quoted previously. Coy's No. 2 is now worth £5-1 10s, and yellow crystals, £50. Neva stearine we quote at Is 2,Jd; Brandon's and other brands, Is 2d. The rise in these articles is owing to telegrams re. ceived ex Omeo, from Melbourne. Flour remains steady at former quotations. Hart's Adelaide we quote at £20 in store. A line was quoted alongside the ship at £19 10sProvincial is worth £1 per ton less. Horsefeed is firm, previous quotattons being still demanded. Chaff we quote, in store, at £15 to £15 10s ; towards the latter end of the week the latter figure was paid. Oats, 4s 3d to 4s 6d ; the former price was realised at auction during the week. Bran is firm at former quotations. Potatoes have fluctuated rauch in price ; good samples, if old, are worth from £8 to £9 ; inferior, £5 10s to £G 10s, according to quality. A line of prime provincials was sold under the hammer for £8. New potatoes we quote at £12. We have not much change to notice in butter ; prime colonial is worth lOd to lid, and provincial we quote at Is. Groceries, with the exception of sugars, remain at last quotetions. Teas are steady, and the market is Well supplied with good quality. Spirits and wines remains unchanged, at former quotatioue. We append Mr. G. W. Binney's report :—: —

Ex Alma: Chaff, £14 10s per ton ; fine salt, £7 10s per ton ; coarse do, £7 10s per ton. In Rooms : Eggs, Is 5d per dozen ; oate, 4s 3d per bushel ; Hart's flour, £19 10s ; new potatoes, £11 10s per ton ; grey peas, 5s 6d per bushel (bags Is) ; Canterbury cheese, lOd per lb ; colonial ham and bacon, 9d per lb ; onions, 6td per lb ; vinegar, 9s per doz.: quinine champagne, 34s per doz. ; assorted essences, 10s per doz. ; claret, 28b per case ; Allaopp'a silc, Ss per doz. ; Company's No. 2 sugar, £51 10s to £52 per ton.
