WELD STREET.

The water in this street extended from" considerably below the Police Barracks to" the White House Hotel. It entered the machmVroom at the West Coast Times Office, but did ito damage. Some inconvenience was also occasioned by the complete isolation of the building, as the newspapers had to be conveyed from the office on horseback and given to the runners for delivery. The water was in the j arc! bf the Police Barracks to a considerable depth but did not enter the buildings.
