We linve still to note a languid state of trade. The business doing to-day Ins been of a. miscellaneous mid unimportant character. Importers have, pctjdi.ig thu receipt of co.'i'ospondenco per Panama mail*, been offering very few goods, and none of the staples have heen dealt in to any extent. The niurkct for breadstuffs is destitute of activity, but there ii now some prospect of an improved inquiry. Millers demand £19 and £19 10s, respectively, for largo and small bags. Wheats arc coming to hand only in small lots, a;ul a comparatively trifling quantity appears to remain in growers' hands. Outs are quiet. The small sales in general good* furnish nothing worthy of remark. By auction, no general merchandise has beon offering, or anything of interest occurred.
