D Includes all that are resident in Wellington province. E Includes such of the Eangitane as are resident hi the Middle Island. F. This is probably an under-estimato of the Arawa. h. Includes those -who -who have not intermarried -with the Ngatitoa, also those tn Nelson province. # We have altered these figures, the Government total (37,017) not agreeing with the correct addition.
