Carr. —Claim for L 2 10s. No appearance. Case dismissed. GOLDSBOROUGH. Thursday. December 5. Clark v. Ryan.—Claim for L 8 5s 6d. Judgment by default for amount claimed, with costs of Court. Criminal Cases. STAFFORD TOWN. Friday, November 29. Obscene Language. —H. Harris was charged, on the information of C. Stewart, for using obscene and blasphemous language in a public thoroughfare. The prisoner was convicted, and fined L 5; immediate warrant to issue if fine not paid. Desebtion. — John Williams was charged with deserting his child. Remanded to Hokitika tUI 2nd December, to appear at Resident Magistrate's Court there. Bail, self in LSO, and two sureties of L 25 each taken. Tuesday, December 3. Drunkenness. —Robert Morrison was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Fined LI, or forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Assault. —Andrew Swan was charged with having committed an assault upon Thomas Brown. No appearance of defendant. Case adjourned till the 10th December, for attendance of defendant, against whom a warrant of arrest is to issue. Destruction of Property. —David Heelan was charged with wilfully destroying the property of Edward M'Lean, amounting to L 3. No appearaneo, information dismissed '
Breach of Westland Publichouse Ordinance. — George Bell, Margaret M'Lean, Samuel R. Dodcl, Louis and Bernhard Ballin, Julius Grimwald, Emanuel Bawden, Nathaniel Hall, Patrick Folcy (two charges), JohnDalton, Daniel Cullen, Jacob F. Skogland, James Aspinwall, Raymond Eoscliig, Josiah Bramhall, Denis Hannan, Robert Stevenson, John Vickers, Thomas Jones, Robert Jackson and Robert M'Callum were summoned for this offence. Cases withdrawn. Informations dismissed. The Court then adjourned.
