THE DOBSON MONUMENT.
TO THE EDITOB OF THE WEST COAST TIMES. Sir — I have waited impatiently during tho past week for Mr Sale's explanation of hia peculiar conduct concerning the Dobson Monument, and of his uncourteous treatment of the " Memorial Committee," or perhaps I should be more correct in saying— tho non-official portion of tho Committee. Most of the members consider themselves greatly slighted, and it is but fair that some explanation should be given. As the facts of the case have already been put very plainly before the public, by one of your correspondents signing himself "In Memoriam." I shall not further occupy your space by dwelling upon the circumstances of this deliberate insult to several of our leading citizens. I am, &c.,
" Was you drunk, Samuel, when you broke that window ?" " No, I* was exhilarated ; drunkenness is -the stupid condition thnt comes nfter the osiiilnrntion is over."
