TO ME EDITOIt OF TIIE WEST COAST TIMES. Sir, — Can you inform me whether the Mayors of Hokitika are elected by tho members of the Municipal Council or by the ratepayers ? Ratepayeb. [The Municipal Council Ordinance provides that the Mayor shall be elected by the ratepayers from amongst the members of the Municipal Council previously elected.— Ed. " W.C.T."]
