Wot, disagreeable weather to-dny succeeded the sunshine and bracing atmosphere of yesterday — the sudden change being, however, qmte in keeping with tho climate of the coast at this period of the year. Morning broke fairly, but in the forenoon a nasty drizzle came on, and increased to a regular downpour shortly after tho suu had crossed the meridian, reducing the streets and quay into a state of sloppinesfr that called for gaiters and knee-boots. Notwithstanding this condition of affairs; f^owds of people were abroad thronging Gibson'tQuay, especially on business thoughts intent, and to watch the progress of tho different vesjwls as they towed in from the roadstead. j Another robbery took place near the HauHau tramway tast night. A tent belonging to a person named Weber, was visited by some thieves during the absence of the inmates, and literally stripped of a quantity of provisions, with other articles being cam»d away.
