December 15. The plant and goodwill of the " Daily Telegraph " newspaper was sold to the proprietors of the "Advertiser" for LBOO. Despatches have been received from England on the Boothby question, contents not transpired ; it is rumored he means to resign. The Agent-General at home has purchased several Whitworth cannon, and a number of Snider rifles for this colony. Umpherston was elected by a large majority.for the Victoria district. Weather very hot. The news of the rise in the price of wheat at homo has not affected tl»9 market as yet. But little wheat offering for quick delivery. Small sales "at 4s 3d and ds 4d. Flour very dull at Lll to Ll2. - December 18.
The races commence on Thursday. Nothiug definite received from home by the Government on the Boothby question. The Appropriation Bill was read a third time this afternoon, but probably Parliament will not be prorogued for ten days. New wheat, fur quick delivery, 4s 3d to 4s 4d. ; flour dull, at Lll to Ll2 10s. December 19. It is rumored that small-pox had broken out among the blacks at Streaky Bay. The Government have not yet decided on a tender for the survey of the Northern Territory. Business, generally, is very djnll, and there is none of the usual Christmas trade doing. Wheat and flour are without animation ; wheat, 4s 2d to 4s 4d per bushel • flour, Lll 103 to Ll2 10s. '
