Notice is hereby given that the beacon on the north oiyl of Symond's Spit has been wsished a way ; another beacon will be placed ou the same spit in a few days PIUNKSTON JETTY. 2. The jetty ai Frankslon having now been extended into twelve feet water, the moorings and buoy have been removed. BTTOYS.—WEST CHANNEL. 3. As several vessels have of late got foul of and doni serious damage to, the Swan Bay and No. 12 Elbow buoys, it has been found necessary to shift the former close in shore. Masters of vessels and others navigating this channel, are hereby informed that the ascer tamed depth of the witter, in a straight line from buoy to buoy, on both sides of the West Channel does not exceed sixteen feet. LIGH» AT THE ENTRANCE OF GEELONG IIAUBOU. 4. With the view of facilitating the navigation of the channel into G-eelong Harbor tit night, a red light will, on and aller the twentyfour: h day of this month, be exhibited from sunset to sunrise from a lantern jilaccd on tho iirst red dolphin, inshore of the lightship. GEELONG HARBOR BUOYS.—REMOVAL OF THE LADY PEEL BLACK BUOY. 5. This buoy having ceased to be of service has been removed. SOUTH-EAST BLACK BUOY. 6. This buoy, which wns placed on the north-west end of sand ort'Bird Rock, hus hem removed, it being no longer required.
