Government Advertisement. " CROWN GRANTS ACT, 1866." rjlHE' following Clauses from "The Crown Grants Act, 1866" (passed Bth October. I860) are published for general informacion :—: — Clause XXXVII.— « There shall be " paid to the Receiver of Land " Revenue or other officer ap- " pointed to receive the same, a "fee of ou« pound upon every '" Crown Grant of hints not cx- "' eeediuir in amount one hundred " acres, aud upon every Crown " Grant of land exceeding "that acreage an additional fee " of one farthing for every acre " in excess of one hundred acres." This Company has obtained an extended grant of or»e and a half acres of grouud in addition to their original grant of half au acre on the Commissioner's Flat, Kanieri. They propose to increase tlie present paid-up capital of the Company, viz, £1000, to £2500 for the purpose of improving their present system of working. The grouud as at present worked has yielded 185 ozs of Gold in eight, weeks' working, averagii g a dividend of £10 per week per share. The present workings from which the gold lias been obtained, show an average of eight feet of wash at 12dwts to the load. The plant on the ground consists of a 12-horse power double cylinder engine, by Roby, and set of pumps now netting £30 per week to the Company for pumping four adjoining claims. The present Company, in addition to their present paid-up capital, hold 100 of the present issue paid-up as a bonus for the draining contracts held by the engine, and for the ground itself; the remaining 200 are thrown open to the public, who are invited to visit the workings, and inspect- the plant and ground prior to purchasing. The lorge area of ground, and the depth and richness of the wash now in actual work are sufficient to recommend this to practical men as a profitable and safe investment returning a dividend from day of allotment of the shares.
