Publications. NOW IN THE PRESS, And will bo shortly published, THE WEST COAST GOLDFIELDS DIRECTORY FOR 1866-67, embracing the towns of Ilokitika, Greymouth, Ross, the Kanieri, Stafford, and Okarita. The commercial importance of the West Coast Goldfields, an^ their extensive business dealings with other ports of New Zealand, as well as with the Australian colonies, render a full and accurate Directory^ not only desirable but .an actual necessity to men of business. The printers and publishers of the present work, having previously brought out most successfully similar works in Dunedin and Invercargill for the past five years, undertake the present task with a feeling that the public will repose confidence in their ability to produce a comprehensive and thoroughly reliable Directory of Ihese Goldfields, and certainly not inferior to any published in other places. The West Coast Goldlields Directory will contain a full and authenticated list of Ithe Government Departments and Officials, Municipal Councils and Improvement Committees, Bankers, Professional Gentlemen, Merchants, Manufacturers, Traders, Hotel-keepers, &c, in the whole of the Westland district, aud will, when practicable, give the full Christian and surnames, as well as the respective addresses, ft will also supply a variety of useful information respecting the Mails and Rates of Postage — the Harbor and Customs Regulations—the New Tariff — the Fees of the Magistrate's and Warden's Courts — the list of the newly elected Hokitika Municipal Council — Electric Telegraph Charges, &c, &c. The publishers intend also to give lithographed plans of Ilokitika and Greymouth, with the Nos. of the sections delineated thereon ; and if they find sufficient encouragement, they will give a lithographed bird's eye view of the town of Hokitika, with the various stores and places of business plainly indicated.
