PROSPECTUS or the COMMISSIONER'S FLIT GOLD MINING COMPAXT (uegistered). Capital— £sooo, in 1000 shares of £5 each. Provisional Directors — Messrs Prosser, Shaw, Rees, F. L Chirk e, J. Bonar, Captain Beaumont, Manuel, Ryan, Freeman, and Learmont. Secretary fro tern. — Mr Gordon. Bankers — Bank of l^cvr Zealand. Solictors — Messrs Recs and Tyler. Broker — A. R. Emerson. ryllE Commissioner's Flat Gold Mining Company is formed for the purpose of working three acres of ground on the well-kmran Commissioner's Flat, Kanieri. The different parts of this large blor-k have beon held by .private parties for twelvemonths, but after repeated efforts it is at last seen that more powerful machinery will be required to work the grcund satisfactorily than these parties could afford. Ifc is believed that before the ground can be properly and profitably wrought, an engine of 30-horse power must be conj -mcd to gear of equal strength. There is upon the spot an engine of 12-horso power, which, with the interest of the various claimholders, will be sold to the Company for the nominal sum of six hundred pounds, which can bs paid in the Company's scsip. Gold lias been traced into tlio ground Tvliich will pay from £12 to £15 per week per man. The various claims upon Commissioner's Flat are now yielding from £-7 to £o0 per man per week, and, as it is known with tolerable certainly that two, if not three, bottoms are workable, the prospects of the Company are good. The promoters appeal to all classes of business men with confidence, because the p\stem of co-operative working is the only system ultimately possible upon the "West Coast, aud it is the only system which guarantees permanency and profit. The shares ■will be paid for as follows : — Ten shillings on application, ten shillings on allotment, and calls of £1 each at intervals of at least a month. Applications for shares to be made at the office of the Company, Temple Buildings, Hokitika. 4709
