MONTHLY SUMMARY.

West Coast Times Office, Monday, O.ct. 15, 1866. Wq publish our present Summary for despatch from Melbourne by the P. and 0. Company's steamer, owing to an alteration in the arrangements of the Panama line. The English July mails arrived at the Bluff by the Albion, , from Melbourne, on the 17th September, and the heads of intelligence were transmitted by electric teregraph. The interest of the Bluff telegrams was however, superseded by the almost simultaneous arrival in the roadstead of the steamer Rangitoto, from Sydney, putting us in possession of files of English papeis to the latest date. The papers were supplemented by telegraphic intelligence to as late as the 16th August. The -Panama Company's, steamer lluahine arrived at Wellington on the' 2nd October, bringing files of English papers to the 2nd August, and telegraphic intelligence from New York to the 21st, and from' Europe (by Atlantic cable)- to the 20th August. The, August mails by the Suex rout' -ssill be due at the Bluff Harbor to n.orrow. We issue to-day a summary comprising ten pages, in order to afford, the public an opportunity "of sending home a full resume of the history of the month, which will be found arranged under ils several headings/
